Alex meets with Sports Specific Trainer Jeff Higuera

The NBA pre-draft camp involves the best collegiate, high school, international, and non divisional players from around the country. These players through invite only converge on a single location (Disney Wide World of Sports last year) to try to secure or increase their draft stock for the later NBA draft. The pre-draft camp consist of drills, games, strength and speed test, and conditioning workouts which are used to help a players draft potential.

With that in mind Alex has consulted with and enlisted Jeff Higuera Director of Sports Specific Training at RDV Sportsplex (base of operation for the Orlando Magic). Jeff works with NBA hopefuls and other athletes in preparing for draft combines and physically performing at the next level. Higuera’s program emphasizes core and functional strength training, explosive resisted training, and flexible joint stability training. Alex will train starting early March all the way until the pre-draft camp which normally begins in June.
