Barnaball News- Last day 6/27/09


The last day of Barnaball started on Saturday June 27 with the victory of the North Team on the East Team for 80-74, which gave him the chance to be the first champion of the first edition of Barnaball if the South Team defeated the West Team, as it did then.

The All Star became the starting point and end of the first edition of Barnaball, in a match where the dunks (17 total) and the spectacular plays that were more common defenses. Finally, the White Team won 109-97 against the Blue Team. The first David Marek, with 15 points, Fabio Fernandes, 12; Carl Damus, with 15; Richard Damus, with 13; Marc Juanola, with 26 (including 4 three points shots) and Alexander Andreev, 12, as most outstanding player and the second with Walter Hodge, 19, Alex Hill, 16; Tasheed Carr, 16, and Jaime Garcia, 17, as best scorers.

In paragraph awards, apart from the final team, which was proclaimed champion North Team against East Team in particular average, the MVP was point guard Walter Hodge, who took a clear progression from less to more during the tournament, the leading scorer and rebound ended up being the center Carl Damus, the best defender was Fabio Fernandes; David Marek best passer; and best junior Marc Juanola.
