The East and West team win on the first day of Barnaball

The Barnaball Summer League has premiered in competition this thursday in Castelldefels with victories of East against South by 89-79 and of West over Nort by 71-57.
After training in the morning in the Can Vinader Sport Hall in Castelldefels, reached the matches for the afternoon, and the East, directed by Borja Comenge, debuted with a victory over the South by ten points of difference.

After a very successful start of match, where the team with the strengthening of Nacho Martin, CB Granada small forward in ACB, was more than ten points in the score, the North team, coached by Jordi Ribas, was cut differences gradually, reaching even to level the match in the final minutes.

The most outstanding players of the match were the same Nacho Martín, with 22 points, 9 rebounds and 27 valuation, and the american power forward Carl Damus, who in just 16 minutes (did not play more because at that time committed four faults), went up 20 points, 13 rebounds and 28 valuation.

In the second match of the afternoon, with two of the stars in this Barnaball, the point guards Walter Hodge (in the North) and David Marek (the West), the winner was ultimately the West team, which won by 71 -57, with Alex Hill (14 points and 5 rebounds), Alex Sanmartín (16 points and 8 rebounds), Jaka Zagorc (slovenian point guard born in 92 which ended with 9 points, 4 rebounds, and the best dunk in the day) and David Marek, with 8 points and 7 assists, as the most outstanding players. In the North team, Walter Hodge finished as leading scorer with 11 points, but for sure this friday and saturday shows the repertoire of actions that led him to become one of the candidates to come this thursday night in the second round of NBA draft.
